About the Practice:
Our Financial Services & Payments practice has been serving the world’s pre-eminent financial institutions on matters of corporate strategy, growth, and economic profitability for 30 years. Over this time we have built a reputation of trust among our clients, many of which have substantive, meaningful relationships with Kaiser spanning 10 years or more. Working on issues of global scope and unrivaled complexity has earned our Financial Services team a reputation of profound domain knowledge, which spans the full breadth of the payments ecosystem, and global insights gathered through on-the-ground research.

Responsibilities:  
  • Provide project management, project delivery and stakeholder management support in the context of complex, fast-paced assignments
  • Structure and manage project work from start to finish, including team oversight and management of client deliverables
  • Help structure analyses, organize research and data gathering efforts and provide quality assurance across the content development lifecycle
  • Lead small, high-performing teams of consultants, providing direction and coaching to help the team complete research efficiently and effectively, apply appropriate strategic and financial analyses, and successfully address the client’s key questions
  • Proactive management of engagement economics, timelines, and issue resolution
  • Serve as a key point of contact between the team, senior officers of the firm, and clients
  • Coach and support the professional development of team members in the process of case work, as well as through dedicated learning and development efforts
  • Develop and bring thought leadership forward for business development purposes with existing and new clients

Required Qualifications:  
  • 4+ years of experience within a strategy consulting firm with 1+ years of experience at the consulting manager level
  • Demonstrated track record in delivering financial payments strategy
  • MBA degree preferred; undergraduate degree required
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading workstreams and small, high-performing teams
  • Proven ability managing and delivering data-intensive assignments – market sizing, economic/econometric analysis, pricing and statistical analysis
  • Experience managing high-performing teams, client stakeholders and effective upward- and downward management style
  • Track record as an analytical problem solver capable of breaking down diverse business problems into solvable pieces and synthesizing facts into actionable insights
  • Creative, “big picture” thinking while maintaining keen attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks (client management, project management, team management, firm leadership)
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Foreign language skills preferred, but not required
  • Advanced MS Office computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
